Job summary

Lafayette Steel Sales Of Indianapolis Llc is seeking a Material Handler to manage material flow in processing areas and ensure accurate movement of incoming and outgoing materials. The role requires experience with warehouse equipment and adherence to safety protocols.

You will handle loading/unloading, RF scanning, labeling, and packaging finished products, while collaborating with team leads to meet daily targets in a warehouse environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year operating warehouse equipment (forklifts, pallet jacks, overhead cranes).
• Minimum 1 year warehousing experience as material handler or similar role.
• Basic Microsoft Office skills (Outlook, Word, Excel) and ability to process work orders.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate forklift and/or overhead crane.
• Inspect equipment and perform daily checks.
• Receive, inspect, and move material per guidelines.
• Label and package finished products.
• Process orders and pull material for production or shipments.
• Load and unload shipments matching order numbers to tags.
• Maintain clean, organized work area and follow safety protocols.
