Job summary

Great Dane LLC is seeking a Materials Coordinator to manage material flow in the plant, verify inventories at all locations, and coordinate forklift movements to meet planning targets. You will input part numbers and update statuses in JDE, RFGen, and other planning tools while reading blueprints and production schedules.

You will also communicate shortages to cross-functional teams and support NCM processes daily, ensuring efficient, safe operations in a high-standard manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• GED or high school diploma preferred.
• Experience in heavy assembly work preferred.
• Must be able to perform work with little supervision.
• Forklift certification required.
• Ability to read measuring tools and use tape measures.

Responsibilities

• Investigates material/inventory variances and suggests solutions.
• Posts and maintains material planning and NCM files.
• Prioritizes inventory moves to support uninterrupted production.
• Identifies locations for forklift movement of materials.
• Performs 5S in assigned areas.
• Returns surplus material to stock when not needed.
• Prepares information on material needs, locations, timing and quantities.
• Coordinates delivery of material with forklift drivers.
• Assists Cycle Counters in counting lineside material.
• Facilitates and coordinates NCM processes for areas.
