Job summary

Redwood Materials in Reno, NV is seeking a Material Flow Supervisor to coordinate the efficient movement of materials to support production and to mentor a team of Material Handlers. This full-time role emphasizes safety, inventory accuracy, and proactive process improvements.

Responsibilities include leading shipping/receiving, validating inbound/outbound materials, and compiling reports from the Warehouse Management System to aid management decisions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Previous warehousing and material flow experience required.
• Experience storing and transporting dangerous goods preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach, and develop a team of associates to ensure shipping and receiving requirements are achieved.
• Responsible for safety compliance and training, especially as it pertains to material handling equipment.
• Manage the internal flow of material to support production requirements.
• Receive inbound shipments from suppliers of raw materials, maintenance parts, and engineering equipment.
• Ensure inventory accuracy, material availability, and material replenishment.
• Facilitate monthly physical inventory audits and work with the inventory control team to ensure that cycle counts are completed.
• Develop and implement material flow strategies to improve operational efficiency.
• Manage data and transactions within a Warehouse Management System and create reports to support management decision making.

Education
