Job summary

Honeywell FM&T in Kansas City seeks an experienced metallurgist or materials engineer to join the Global Security materials capability. You will perform advanced materials analyses, conduct high-level research, develop procedures, and support production operations.

The role requires US citizenship for DOE clearance, a B.S. in a relevant field, and at least 2 years of related experience. Some travel may be required.

Qualifications

• US citizenship required to obtain DOE 'Q' level clearance.
• B.S. in Chemical Engineering, Metallurgy, Materials Science, or Physical Science from an ABET-accredited program.
• Minimum 2 years' engineering, analytical, or related technical experience.
• Some domestic travel (< 10%).

Responsibilities

• Perform materials analyses and high-level research for FM&T operations.
• Develop procedures and advance standard practices for production and R&D.
• Assist in materials evaluation, characterization and process development to support operations.
