Job summary

Canon Business Process Services seeks a supervisor to lead the material distribution department in collaboration with Operations and Materials Distribution Managers.

You will maintain day-to-day communications with client MDMs and CBPS leadership, monitor quality and productivity, and help with budget, payroll, and service enhancements. Strong planning, staff development, and adaptability are required for success.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma; college degree preferred.
• One year in hospital materials distribution, inventory management or logistics preferred.
• Experience managing a staff of 10+ non-exempt employees a plus.
• Strong product knowledge a must.
• Working knowledge of Lawson (or similar supply chain management systems) required.
• Proficiency with word processing and spreadsheets (Microsoft Office).
• Ability to adapt quickly to a changing environment with urgency and customer focus.

Responsibilities

• Supervise the material distribution department in collaboration with Operations and Materials Distribution Managers.
• Maintain day-to-day communications with client Materials Distribution Managers and CBPS’s Operations Manager & Director.
• Evaluate, research and recommend solutions regarding Distribution management issues.
• Prioritize, schedule and delegate assignments to staff and monitor progress.
• Ensure quality and productivity standards are met by staff.
• Interface with the client, operations team, and corporate departments as necessary.
• Assist HR with policies, procedures, training, and staff development.
• Assist in recruiting new employees and compiling weekly/monthly data for reporting.
• Manage budget and control expenses; assist with payroll and site billing.
