Job summary

Plastic Executive Recruiters is seeking a Master Scheduler / Customer Materials Scheduler for an established automotive manufacturer in West Michigan. This onsite role focuses on owning customer demand, coordinating with production, and ensuring accurate releases and material availability.

You’ll work across Materials, Production, Shipping, and Customer teams to resolve constraints, manage EDI releases, and grow your knowledge of automotive materials operations while advancing toward materials

Qualifications

• Experience in manufacturing materials, inventory control, or related supply chain functions.
• Strong understanding of how customer orders, materials, inventory, and production fit together.
• Ability to recognize problems, investigate causes, and communicate solutions.
• Comfortable dealing directly with customers and holding them accountable when necessary.

Responsibilities

• Manage incoming customer demand and EDI releases, ensuring information is accurate and current.
• Recognize unusual order patterns, release discrepancies, and potential delivery problems.
• Coordinate with Production Scheduling to ensure customer requirements are properly communicated.
• Communicate directly with automotive customers regarding releases, shipment concerns, and changing requirements.
• Help manage packaging requirements, including customer returnable containers and potential packaging shortages.
• Work with Materials, Production, Shipping, and other departments to resolve constraints.
• Support inventory accuracy, material availability, and continuous improvement efforts.
• Develop a broader understanding of automotive materials operations, with opportunities to take on additional responsibility over time.
