Job summary

John Deere is seeking a Material Coordinator for Des Moines Works located in Ankeny, IA. The role supports delivery of materials to the point of use and resolves part availability issues onsite.

Responsibilities include communicating part availability, using SAP, handling shortages, and expediting parts to keep production running. Candidates should have 2+ years Excel/Outlook experience and be able to work overtime when needed.

Qualifications

• 2+ years with Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook.
• 2+ years working in a team environment and delivering results.
• 1+ years with effective interpersonal communication and negotiation skills.
• 1+ years with organizational experience handling multiple projects.
• Ability to work overtime and some weekends to support business needs.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate delivery of materials to the point of use and resolve part availability issues.
• Utilize SAP to support the material delivery process.
• Work critical shortage reports to ensure part availability.
• Resolve inventory errors and expedite parts to maintain production.
• Collaborate with operations, engineering, supply management and material flow to address shortages and discrepancies.
• Find root causes of shortages and recommend solutions.
• Support Continuous Improvement and shop floor initiatives.
