Job summary

John Deere Des Moines Works in Ankeny, IA is seeking a Material Flow Packaging Specialist to help design and develop efficient part racking and container systems. You will work with OFP and PDP Manufacturing Engineers to optimize packaging layout and material flow across PDP programs.

You will partner with third-party suppliers to finalize prototypes, quotes, and rack loops, and provide daily support for returnable container inquiries, ensuring smooth operations and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

2+ years experience with Material Flow, Manufacturing, Operations or Supply Management.
2+ years experience managing multiple tasks and projects.
2+ years experience with process development/improvement.
1+ years CREO models and prints.
Experience with tool, rack, or fixture design.
Experience with SAP Material Master and Production Planning.
Interpersonal, conflict resolution and negotiation skills.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Advanced Excel skills.

Responsibilities

Design and develop part racking in collaboration with OFP and PDP Manufacturing Engineers.
Collaborate with third party suppliers to finalize, quote, and build prototypes and rack loops for PDP programs.
Provide daily support on inquiries related to returnable containers and work with suppliers.
