Job summary

ISU Research Park in Ankeny, IA seeks a Material Coordinator supporting John Deere Des Moines Works to coordinate material deliveries and resolve part availability issues. You will communicate shortages to operations and stakeholders, and utilize SAP to support the delivery process.

You will work with operations, engineering, supply management, and material flow to root cause shortages, fix discrepancies, and implement improvements on the shop floor.

Qualifications

• 2+ years with Excel, Word and Outlook
• 2+ years in a team environment delivering results
• 1+ year in effective interpersonal communication, negotiation and conflict resolution
• 1+ year with organizational experience handling multiple projects or tasks
• Ability to work overtime and some weekends to support business needs

Responsibilities

• Coordinate delivery of materials to point of use and resolve part availability issues
• Communicate part availability issues and resolution to operations and key stakeholders
• Utilize SAP transactions to support the material delivery process
• Work critical shortage reports to ensure part availability
• Resolve inventory errors and expedite parts to ensure uninterrupted production
• Collaborate with operations, engineering, supply management, and material flow to root cause shortages, discrepancies, reporting issues, COGI, and consumption issues
• Identify root causes of shortfalls and provide actionable recommendations
• Support Continuous Improvement and shop floor initiatives

As a Material Coordinator supporting John Deere Des Moines Works located in Ankeny Iowa , you will coordinate delivery of materials to the point of use and resolve part availability issues. In addition, you will:

Communicate part availability issues and resolution to operations and other key stakeholders

Utilize SAP transactions to support all aspects of the material delivery process

Work critical shortage reports to ensure part availability

Resolve inventory errors and expedite parts to ensure uninterrupted production

Work closely with several functional areas including operations, engineering, supply management, and material flow to root cause and correct material shortages, inventory discrepancies, reporting issues, COGI, and consumption issues

Find and correct root cause of material shortages. Provide recommendations for solutions

Actively support the Continuous Improvement process and shop floor initiatives

What Skills You Need

• 2 or more years with experience using Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook
