John Deere is seeking a Material Coordinator for Des Moines Works located in Ankeny, IA. The role supports delivery of materials to the point of use and resolves part availability issues onsite.

Responsibilities include communicating part availability, using SAP, handling shortages, and expediting parts to keep production running. Candidates should have 2+ years Excel/Outlook experience and be able to work overtime when needed.

• Utilize SAP to support the material delivery process.
• Work critical shortage reports to ensure part availability.
• Resolve inventory errors and expedite parts to maintain production.
• Collaborate with operations, engineering, supply management and material flow to address shortages and discrepancies.
• Find root causes of shortages and recommend solutions.
• Support Continuous Improvement and shop floor initiatives.

Title: Material Coordinator - 124774

Onsite/Remote: Onsite Position

Your Responsibilities

As a Material Coordinator supporting John Deere Des Moines Works located in Ankeny Iowa, you will coordinate delivery of materials to the point of use and resolve part availability issues. In addition, you will:

• Communicate part availability issues and resolution to operations and other key stakeholders
• Utilize SAP transactions to support all aspects of the material delivery process
• Work critical shortage reports to ensure part availability
• Resolve inventory errors and expedite parts to ensure uninterrupted production
• Work closely with several functional areas including operations, engineering, supply management, and material flow to root cause and correct material shortages, inventory discrepancies, reporting issues, COGI, and consumption issues
• Find and correct root cause of material shortages. Provide recommendations for solutions
• Actively support the Continuous Improvement process and shop floor initiatives

What Skills You Need

• 2 or more years with experience using Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook
• 2 or more years working in a team environment and delivering expected results
• 1 or more years with experience in effective interpersonal communication, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills
• 1 or more years with organizational experience handling multiple projects or tasks
• Ability to work over‑time and some weekends to support business needs

• Experience working in a manufacturing operations environment
• Experience with Order Fulfillment, Supply Management, and/or Material Flow processes
• Experience working proactively in a self-guided environment

Education

Ideally you will have a degree or equivalent related work experience in the following:

• Bachelors degree in Business Management, Supply Management, Engineering, Operations Management, or a related field, or equivalent related work experience
