Job summary

Mastronardi Produce Ltd. is seeking a Box Room Lead at our Jonestown Distribution Center in Kentucky. The role supports the Materials Supervisor, tracks production and scrap, and assists in delegating work and supervising staff in a refrigerated facility.

The position requires at least two years in a Materials department, strong organizational and MS Office skills, and the ability to work independently with a sense of urgency. Weekend and shift coverage are part of the 3 day/4 day rotation.

Qualifications

• High School Graduate; post-secondary education preferred.
• Two years’ experience in a Materials department is required.
• Strong MS Office skills (Word, Outlook, Excel) and good English communication.

Responsibilities

• Keep stock organized and readily accessible.
• Reconcile inventory discrepancies and notify supervisor of irregularities.
• Perform physical counts of inventory, including weekly top-seal inventory.
• Operate vertical conveyor.
• Move inventory using pallet jack, hand cart or forklift.
• Load and unload trailers and delivery trucks.
• Fill and ship orders with accurate documentation.
• Ensure boxes are stored on trailers or moved upstairs.
• Monitor packaging to keep the warehouse floor clear.
• Pull and verify materials for packing samples (clam, boxes, bags, etc.).

Day Shift (6am-5:30pm) working an alternating 3 day - 4 day work week

• Week 1 - Sun, Mon, Fri, Sat
• Week 2 - Tue - Thurs

Our Jonestown Distribution Center, a 218,000 sq. ft. refrigerated facility operating 24/7, is currently seeking aBox Room Shift Lead to join our team. The essential function of this role is to assist in the safe operation of the box machines while tracking production and scrap and assist supervisors in delegating work assignments and employee supervision.

Primary Function: The essential function of this position is to assist the Materials Supervisor regarding daily material requirements. The individual is responsible for a wide variety of duties including but not limited to this job description.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Keep stock organized and readily accessible.

• Move inventory to various locations manually by operating pallet jack, hand cart and forklift.
• Load and off load trailers and delivery truck.
• Fill and ship orders, ensuring accuracy of shipments and supporting documentation.
• Ensure that boxes are stored on trailers or sent upstairs.
• Monitor packaging on the floor with the goal of keeping the warehouse floor clear.
• Pull and verify all materials required for packing samples (clam, boxes and bags, etc.).

Education/Background Requirements:

• High School Graduate, Post- Secondary education preferred.
• At least two years’ experience in a Materials department required.

• Shipping, receiving and inventory experience an asset.
• Be respectful and deal tactfully with customers, other employees and vendors.
• Strong organizational skills and proficiency with MS Office: Word, Outlook and Excel.
• Must have ability to effectively follow-up and handle multiple projects with strong personal timemanagement.
• Proficiency in use of English language with the ability to communicate effectively and professionally.
• Willingness to work independently, with minimal supervision and take ownership of job.
