Job summary

Mastronardi Produce Ltd. operates a large refrigerated distribution center seeking full-time Warehouse Associate / Grader. Shifts rotate on a 3- or 4-day week, approx.

15 days per month, with a day shift from 6:00 AM to 5:30 PM. The role requires inspecting produce, maintaining quality standards, and supporting packaging and pallet workflows. The successful candidate will work in a cold environment (around 50 degrees), be able to lift up to 30 lbs, and adapt to multiple areas as needed.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Ability to work in refrigerated warehouse (50-degree zones).
• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Related work in food production is an asset.
• Previous warehouse experience preferred.
• Must be a high-performance team player in a dynamic environment.
• Flexible hours including mornings, evenings, weekends, holidays.
• Willingness to handle company property responsibly and maintain confidentiality.
• Willingness to complete a background check.

Responsibilities

• Inspect tomatoes, peppers and cucumbers from greenhouse farms.
• Maintain product quality to meet specifications.
• Assist in packaging and washing setup to ensure smooth flow of product.
• Stack and rebuild pallets/boxes promptly.
• Identify pallets not meeting Mastronardi specs (damaged, leaning, etc.).
• Report GMP, food safety or staging concerns to supervisors.
• Be flexible to work in various assigned areas.

Job description

The Jonestown Distribution Center, a 218,000 sq. ft. refrigerated facility operating 24/7; is currently seeking full time general warehouse workers to join our team.

Warehouse Associate / Grader

Shifts Available :

Alternating 3 day or 4 day work weeks, which is equivalent to working approx. 15 days per month

• Day Shift Hours: 6:00 AM - 5:30 PM rotational Shift

Primary Responsibilities:

• Physically inspect tomatoes, peppers and cucumbers grown in our greenhouse farms.
• Maintain product quality standards that meet product specifications
• Assist in packaging/washing set up, as needed, to ensure smooth flow of product.
• Prompt stacking and rebuilding of product pallets / boxes.
• Identify and elevate any pallets that visibly do not meet Mastronardi Specifications (crushed, leaning, damaged, or any visible product that appears to not meet Food Safety standards).
• Report and assist team members and supervisors with any issues that may be observed on the assigned department such as; Good Manufactured Procedures (GMP’s), food safety, or unsafe product staging concerns.
• This position requires flexibility to work in various assigned work areas.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required:

• Must be at least 18 years old
• Ability to work in our refrigerated warehouse, 50-degree controlled temperature zones
• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Related work experience in food production an asset.
• Previous warehouse experience preferred
• Must be a high-performance team player and be willing to work in a dynamic, growing, demanding and fast-paced environment.
• Available to work flexible hours (early mornings, evenings, weekends, holidays may be required).
• Willingness to maintain confidentiality and protect proprietary information.
• Willingness to work independently, with minimal supervision and take ownership of job.
• Willingness to be responsible for company property.
• Complete a background check.
