Job summary

Valmont Industries, Inc. seeks a motivated Materials Control Specialist for the Global Utility Division. The role focuses on receiving, inventory control of small parts, and ensuring materials are unloaded and checked against supplier paperwork with accuracy.

You will track materials, verify BOL/PO reports, and maintain proper documentation while supporting on-time production and safe operations in a heavy manufacturing setting.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• 2+ years in heavy manufacturing preferred.
• Knowledge of receiving and inventory storage procedures.
• Basic computer skills required.
• Ability to follow environmental policies.

Responsibilities

• Receive and unload materials; verify against supplier paperwork.
• Check material for markings and match to PO/BOL/RTS documents.
• Assist in controlling movement of materials to work stations or storage.
• Catalog and label materials for proper storage; enter data and reports.
• Assemble kits per manufacturing needs in advance of production.
• Operate material handling equipment and perform TPM checks on forklifts/cranes.
• Maintain department safety practices and contribute to safety programs.
