Job summary

Mercury Marine, a Brunswick Corporation division, invites student engineers for a co-op position in Fond du Lac, WI. You will assist with metal melting processes, collaborate with operations leaders, and manage projects from inception to completion on the manufacturing floor.

Eligible students must be enrolled in a BS program (Materials/Industrial/Mechanical Eng) with a controls/systems/analytics focus, and be available full-time May–December 2027. Relocation is supported.

Qualifications

• Current enrollment in a BS program with a major in Material Science, Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a relevant degree with a controls/systems/analytics emphasis.
• Minimum second semester sophomore status with 48 completed credits.
• Availability to work full-time (40+ hours/week) May–December 2027.
• Ability to enroll in a formalized co-op program through your university.
• Dependable, self-motivated and engaged learner.
• Ability to lift up to 35 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Test chemical properties of alloys used in production for our casting processes.
• Analyze chemical properties for aluminum and tool steel.
• Work with full-time team members located in multiple plants, assisting with projects and analysis.
• Develop and edit operating procedures.
