Job summary

Base is a dynamic startup in the United States seeking a Materials Associate to manage shipping, receiving, and material handling. You will package, document, and move products, coordinate with production, and maintain organized inventory in a physically demanding warehouse environment.

Responsibilities include ensuring accuracy of paperwork, operating forklifts and pallet jacks, and adhering to safety standards while supporting end-to-end logistics and deliveries.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 2+ years shipping, receiving, or manufacturing experience preferred.
• Valid driver’s license with clean driving record.
• Ability to lift up to 50-70 lbs and perform physically demanding tasks.
• Experience operating forklifts and electric pallet jacks.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
• Comfortable with manual labor in a physically demanding environment.
• Perform demanding physical tasks for extended periods, up to 12 hours.
• Ability to stoop, bend, reach, squat, kneel, crouch, and twist for prolonged periods, up to 12 hours.

Responsibilities

• Package and wrap products securely for transit.
• Verify paperwork with ERP for correct quantity and parts.
• Generate bills of lading and maintain shipping documentation.
• Monitor conveyor lines and load products into trailers.
• Inspect products for quality and packaging compliance.
• Track daily shipping items and update production team.
• Operate forklift and electric pallet jacks safely.
• Manage recycling per environmental regulations.
• Process inbound shipments, verify counts and quality.
• Deliver in-process materials to production areas as needed.
• Record and maintain inventory data.
• Load/unload trailers and keep work areas clean.
• Assist in assembly or production when needed.
• Perform local deliveries and pickups with company vehicles.
• Participate in daily production meetings.
