Job summary

Western Rock Products in Southern Utah seeks a motivated Materials Sales Representative to drive sales of aggregates, asphalt, ready‑mix concrete, and related construction materials. You will build relationships with contractors, developers, municipalities, and government agencies while identifying new business opportunities.

  • Strong knowledge of construction projects, bidding processes, and industry terminology.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, presentation, and relationship-building skills.
  • Strong organizational and time-management abilities.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and CRM software.
  • Ability to analyze market conditions and develop sales strategies.
  • Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.

  • Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and construction project opportunities within the region.
  • Collaborate with dispatch, operations, quality control, and production teams to ensure customer expectations are met.
  • Conduct regular jobsite visits to support customers and identify future business opportunities.
  • Maintain accurate sales forecasts, customer records, and activity reports within company systems.
  • Resolve customer concerns professionally and efficiently while maintaining positive relationships.
  • Support contract negotiations and ensure compliance with company policies and pricing strategies.
  • Attend industry events, trade associations, contractor meetings, and networking opportunities to promote company services.
  • Assist with annual sales planning, revenue forecasting, and market development initiatives.
  • Work closely with estimating and operational teams to align production capabilities with customer demand.
  • Ensure compliance with all company safety policies and procedures.

Western Rock Products, a CRH company, is seeking a motivated and customer-focused Materials Sales Representative to drive sales growth and develop strong customer relationships throughout Southern Utah. This role is responsible for promoting and selling aggregates, asphalt products, ready‑mix concrete, and related construction materials to contractors, developers, municipalities, government agencies, and other customers.

The Materials Sales Representative serves as a key liaison between customers and operations, identifying project opportunities, generating new business, managing existing accounts, and ensuring exceptional customer service. The ideal candidate will possess strong sales acumen, knowledge of the construction industry, and the ability to develop long‑term business partnerships.

  • Experience working with contractors, municipalities, DOT agencies, and private developers.
  • Understanding of construction estimating, material production, and logistics operations.
