Material Planning Analyst

The Material Planning Analyst supports Distribution/Production functions by managing inventory levels to meet budget requirements and ensure customer service levels for imported products. This role collaborates with planning and operations teams to analyze data, generate insights, and develop effective planning strategies.

1. Work on projects as part of a large team.
2. Assist management with strategic planning to improve performance and forecast accuracy.
3. Handle confidential data and manage goods, tools, equipment, and software responsibly.
4. Develop purchasing and inventory plans, setting constraints to meet capacity and budget goals.
5. Expedite and monitor production orders to satisfy service demands.
6. Issue purchasing requisitions for assigned categories.
7. Follow up on shortages and provide stock arrival estimates.
8. Authorize inventory rehandles as needed.
9. Track critical vendor shipments and manage import product development.
10. Conduct studies, prepare reports, and advise on feasibility, costs, and regulatory compliance.
11. Perform additional duties as required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
• 2-4 years of relevant experience or equivalent education.
• Strong knowledge of industry practices, processes, and standards.
• Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
• Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time effectively.
• High integrity and discretion handling sensitive data.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
