Job summary

Wabash is seeking a Material Planner to support production planning and inventory management at our Griffin, GA facility. You will review BOMs, manage daily production picks, and convert planned orders into production orders while coordinating with purchasing and production teams.

This role emphasizes accuracy, communication, and hands-on problem solving on the production floor. Experience in AS400 and understanding of material flow are preferred.

Qualifications

• High school degree or GED required.
• Must pass pre-employment drug screen.
• Must pass PIV (power industrial vehicle) training.
• Basic reading, writing, math, & verbal skills.
• Basic computer knowledge.
• Must have both written and verbal communication skills.
• Must be able to learn and run required computer applications.
• Knowledge of basic math: addition, subtraction, multiplication, division.
• Understand engineering specs, Change Orders, and SOPs.
• Good problem-solving skills required.

Responsibilities

• Create, enter, and manage daily production picks.
• Review BOMs to ensure material availability for production.
• Pull the schedule and run PIKs based on the schedule using PLR 100 in AS400.
• Send daily critical parts reports to purchasing.
• Enter MSR and CCR for product issues on lines.
• Identify and report issues with the TRS Reporting structure.
• Assist with entering non-conforming tags, scrap tags, and RTW.
• Verify inventory levels and correct discrepancies across warehouse and production locations.
