Job Summary

Responsibilities

• Plan, prepare, issue, and control MRP production schedules and material requirements to ensure timely flow of approved materials aligned with production needs.
• Maintain the integrity and accuracy of MRP requirements.
• Ensure shipments meet customer expectations and support inventory management objectives.
• Provide delivery commitments to customers and project managers based on materials lead time and capacity analysis.
• Manage work orders for manufacturing release, ensuring kits are short-free and demand requirements are met.
• Assist in analyzing supply chain issues, work-in-progress, and potential production setbacks, offering recommendations to ensure delivery.
• Collaborate with procurement to balance material flow from suppliers to manufacturing based on MRP demand.
• Analyze supplier constraints and act accordingly.
• Lead engineering change order material analysis to ensure correct configuration.
• Manage work orders through to closure, including finance and variance reconciliation.
• Review and process customer sales orders.
• Perform additional duties as required.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of planning experience in a high-mix environment.
• Thorough understanding of MRP systems, BOM structures, and materials planning.
• Bachelor's degree in a business discipline or equivalent experience.
• Proficiency in MS Word and Excel, especially in creating complex spreadsheets.
• Strong MRP knowledge; Epicor ERP experience is a plus.
• Excellent organizational skills and follow-through.
• Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Outstanding customer service attitude.
• APICS CPIM certification is preferred.

Work Environment

• Primarily office-based, with occasional duties outside of the typical office setting.

Physical Requirements

• Reliable transportation and ability to travel to other company locations.
• Flexibility to work extended hours when necessary.
