Description

Under the direction of the Department Manager, the Material Packer ensures the production of company products at the highest quality and at the lowest possible cost, meeting company policies and procedures. The Material Packer will act in a manner that is consistent with Gordon Aluminum’s Customer 1st Philosophy.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Pack or download material per instructions.
• Clean material and review for quality while packing or downloading.
• Utilize technology to review job requirements, report production, and produce labels or reports.
• Maintain a clean, safe, organized workspace.

In addition, all positions are responsible for:

• Performing work tasks in compliance with all standards and regulations.
• Adhering to safety policies and workplace behavior standards.

Requirements

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED, or equivalent experience. Ability to perform basic math, interpret documents, communicate effectively, and solve practical problems. Physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform tasks requiring standing, walking, and repetitive motions. Work environment includes exposure to moving mechanical parts, noise, and airborne particles. Must wear PPE as required.
