Job summary

Eaton's AER MSD Mission System Division Aerospace division in Westminster, MD is seeking a Material Operations Supervisor to lead the site's material operations team—receiving, stockroom, kitting, internal movement, cycle counting and shipping—to ensure the right material is at the right place at the right time to support the production schedule.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in materials management, warehouse/stockroom, logistics, or manufacturing operations.
• Minimum one year of supervisory experience in a manufacturing or operations environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead the daily execution of material operations across receiving, stockroom, kitting, and shipping to support the production schedule.
• Supervise and develop a team of material handlers and coordinators, including staffing, training, performance management, timekeeping and adherence to plant policies.
• Own inventory accuracy for the site: manage cycle counts, analyze variances, and maintain ERP data.
• Ensure material is kitted and staged to the production plan; expedite shortages with Supply Chain to prevent line stoppages.
• Achieve team KPIs for safety, quality, delivery, cost, inventory turns and responsiveness; report in daily meetings.
• Ensure material handling complies with safety, quality, environmental and ITAR/export controls.
• Serve as a continuous improvement leader for material flow using lean tools to reduce waste and improve flow.
• Support SIOP with accurate material availability, inventory and capacity input.
• Partner with Quality on nonconforming material control and disposition of scrap.
• Manage warehouse layout, storage systems and equipment; ensure safe operation of powered industrial trucks.
• Support internal, customer and regulatory audits with accurate records and process compliance.
• Ensure Environmental, Health and Safety are integrated into daily activities.
• Comply with Eaton Supply Chain Policies for Materials and Inventory Management.
