Job summary

Raytheon in Tucson, AZ is seeking a Material Operations Analyst in the Estimating & Pricing Organization. You will review cost proposals with checklists, analyze BOEs and BOMs, and train less experienced estimators to ensure compliant proposals.

You will help establish a common material process across Raytheon’s business units and collaborate with upper management on process improvements. This role requires a Bachelor’s degree with 8+ years’ experience, or an Advanced Degree with 5+ years, plus

Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of 8 years prior relevant experience, or an Advanced Degree with at least 5 years’ experience.
Experience with Microsoft Office products (Word, PowerPoint, Excel)

Responsibilities

Perform a detailed and complex review of cost proposals with checklists and analyze BOEs, BOMs, and other supporting proposal artifacts.
Generate and provide training to less experienced Material Estimators on what is required for a compliant proposals.
Support the development of establishing a common material process across Raytheon’s business units.
Collaborate with upper management on process improvements for estimating tools and processes.
Test estimating tool enhancements to ensure they operate correctly prior to public release.
Establish and maintain strong customer, user/stakeholder and partner relationships.
Lead special assignments that could include reporting data, exploring opportunities, or solving known problems.
Ensure compliance with FAR and internal estimating requirements (e.g., FAR 15.408, Table 15-2) and RP-FIN-CAO-004/029
