Job summary

RTX, a leading aerospace and defense company, seeks a Material Operations Analyst to join the Estimating & Pricing Organization in a hybrid role in the US. You will review cost proposals, BOEs, and BOMs for reasonableness, train junior estimators, and help standardize material processes across business units.

The successful candidate will have a Bachelor’s degree with 8+ years of relevant experience (or an advanced degree with 5+ years), strong MS Office skills, and U.S. citizenship.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree plus 8+ years of experience, or advanced degree with 5+ years.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel).
• U.S. citizenship is required to access information under this program/contract.

Responsibilities

• Perform detailed review of cost proposals with checklists; analyze BOEs, BOMs, and artifacts for reasonableness.
• Generate training for less experienced Material Estimators on compliant proposals.
• Support development of a common material process across Raytheon’s units.
• Collaborate with upper management on process improvements for estimating tools and processes.
• Test estimating tool enhancements before public release; ensure tools function correctly.
