Marathon Petroleum Company LP invites applications for a Master Data Processor to oversee the creation and maintenance of material master data across multiple systems. The role emphasizes collaboration with Supply Chain partners to ensure accurate, standardized records and ongoing data quality improvements.

Responsibilities include processing new material requests, updating existing records, and preventing duplicates, while leveraging SAP or similar ERP systems and Microsoft Office tools.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Associate degree or equivalent in business administration or related field preferred.
• 1-3+ years of data entry, evaluation of data, supply chain, or related experience required.
• Knowledge of materials master and related master data processes preferred.

Responsibilities

• Review, evaluate, and process new material requests for warehouse inventory into material master data records in the appropriate inventory management system(s).
• Review, evaluate, and process requests for changes to existing material master data records in the appropriate inventory management system(s).
• Perform steps during the material master data create process to prevent duplicate records from being created and incorporate best practices related to the standardization of description content and material classification.
• Initiate requests for additional information from customer stakeholders when required to ensure material master data records are accurate, complete and searchable by system users.
• Support activities to improve data quality and consistency through continuous improvement efforts, data cleansing activities, and material master process optimization.
• Provide support to customer stakeholders and business partners as it pertains to material master data and related processes.
• Perform data analysis in support of metrics reporting, duplicate data reviews, and ad-hoc requests from customer stakeholders and Supply Chain business partners.
