- 4-6 years of automotive industry experience in a manufacturing role
- Proven track record in manufacturing operations, process improvement, and innovation management.
- Proficiency in manufacturing technologies, Material flow, Material handling equipment automation, and Factory of the Future Material concepts.

- Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with cross-functional teams and external partners. Including creating master dot, and leadership presentations to communicate progress.
- Launch execution and planning experience, particularly in Material Management.
- Familiar with Lean Manufacturing Strategies (LMS) and Industrial Engineering Tools (AutoCad, GMOS, Standard Time Data).

Job Description
Insight Global is looking for a Material Industrial Engineer in several locations. The Engineer will develop and lead Material Integration & Automation solutions to safely deliver on our overall 4-wall Material strategies and lead the design and execution of these solutions. Aggressive, fast-moving solution development through the collaboration with other critical SMEs, including plant and global safety teams, will be key to this team’s success. Key responsibilities include the identification and development of technologies and processes to optimize material movement enhancing manufacturing efficiency, quality, and sustainability. You will work closely with cross-functional teams and strategic suppliers to conceptualize, oversee, and implement inventive solutions that boost productivity, lower costs, and contribute to overall operational excellence. You will be responsible for designing equipment related to the manufacturing process and optimizing material handling systems, including the incorporation of new automated solutions. Your responsibility will also involve training others, and it could involve working with a small group of employees or outside suppliers, providing oversight and guidance. Additional Responsibilities Include:
- Propose, analyze, and identify the most optimal processes for integration of machinery, and/or lean material strategies for BIW, in an assigned commodity area, plant or program launch.
- Direct the design, development, and implementation of machinery and/or material handling equipment solutions for BIW, following the standardized work processes.
- Optimize the Manufacturing processes and material flow by improving its efficiency. This includes working directly with strategic suppliers and leading small teams with a focus on streamlining current processes and developing future plans for automation.
- Develop and lead the implementation of automation strategies focused on optimizing material flow and contribute to the development of future automation solution roadmap with project timing and cost considerations.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Global Health and Safety, Manufacturing Assembly Teams, Shop Directors, and other Manufacturing Engineering Center Leads to identify areas for improvement and develop innovative solutions to enhance manufacturing efficiency, quality, and sustainability.
- Work directly with plant partners and safety team to achieve development of material optimization initiatives from drawing board/concept to reality/shop floor. Lead problem solving activities.
- Work directly with containerization, logistics and other partners to resolve critical issues and put key enablers in place for the successful execution of material optimization initiatives.
- Conduct feasibility studies and cost-benefit analyses for proposed manufacturing innovation and automation projects.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including product engineering, purchasing R&D, manufacturing operations, and IT to ensure seamless integration of new technologies and processes.
- Stay updated on industry trends, regulations, and advancements in manufacturing innovation to provide strategic recommendations and insights.
- Identify and evaluate emerging manufacturing technologies, trends, and best practices to drive innovation and improve operational performance.
- Develop and deliver training programs to enhance the knowledge and skills of manufacturing teams in new technologies and processes.
