Job summary

Insight Global is seeking a Material Industrial Engineer to design and lead material integration and automation solutions across BIW operations. The role focuses on optimizing material movement, improving efficiency, quality, and sustainability while collaborating with plant teams, suppliers, and safety groups.

The position requires 4–6 years in automotive manufacturing, strong project management skills, and experience with lean manufacturing tools.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering.
  • 4–6 years in automotive manufacturing.
  • Proven track record in manufacturing operations and process improvement.
  • Experience with material flow and automation concepts.
  • Strong project management and cross-functional collaboration.
  • Lean manufacturing knowledge and related tools (AutoCAD, GMOS).

Responsibilities

  • Lead design and implementation of material handling equipment solutions.
  • Develop automation strategies to optimize material flow and productivity.
  • Collaborate with plant partners, safety and suppliers on projects.
  • Perform feasibility studies and cost-benefit analyses.
  • Train teams on new technologies and processes.
  • Lead small teams and oversee deployments from concept to shop floor.
