Job summary

Alfa Laval is seeking a warehouse operations lead in our Richmond area facility. You will coordinate the daily plan for the material handling team, assign resources, and drive root-cause analysis to resolve issues. You will work closely with production and inventory teams to ensure accurate parts picking and efficient workflow.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 2-4 years warehouse logistics experience.
• 2-4 years material handling equipment experience.
• Experience with handheld barcode scanners (Zebra preferred).
• Experience working with BOMs, pick lists, and other manufacturing documents.
• Experience working with ERP systems (Microsoft D365 preferred).
• Attention to detail, self-starter, team player, organized, good communication, cooperative, flexible, engaged in problem solving & improvement.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of material handlers to ensure parts picking is accurate and timely.
• Coordinate and support the daily work of the department with focus on Safety, Quality, Delivery, and Cost.
• Drive daily ALPS Performance Meetings and weekly Improvement Meetings.
• Run the daily shift startup/handover meetings.
• Participate in projects and improvement initiatives.
• Own material handling activities in coordination with the production team.
• Collaborate with inventory team to resolve discrepancies.
• Serve as liaison between department, support functions, and Team Manager.
