Job summary

Körber in Irving, TX seeks an experienced mechanical engineer focused on pre-sales and solution design for material handling systems. You will translate client requirements into concepts, create BOMs, and support RFQ packages.

You will work with sales, project teams, and customers, delivering Basis of Design, Process Flow Diagrams, and operating descriptions while ensuring design aligns with electrical controls.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering is required.
• Master's degree in engineering or related technical field preferred.
• Equivalent combination of education and relevant professional experience may be considered.
• Minimum 3 years of professional mechanical/application engineering experience in industrial, automation, material handling, or supply chain environments.
• Experience supporting pre-sales, application engineering, or solution development with sales teams.

Responsibilities

• Create concepts and manifests within customer requirements and RFP timelines.
• Support bid development and RFQ packages, and write SOW for proposals.
• Demonstrate expertise in material handling system design and operation.
• Lead design efforts based on client requirements to create optimized solutions.
• Provide technical expertise during sales to showcase Körber's capabilities.
• Create/Utilize/Explain Basis of Design, Process Flow Diagrams, and Material Flow Diagrams.
• Coordinate with clients and internal teams to ensure alignment across mechanical, electrical, and controls.
