Job summary

Grifols is seeking a Group Leader - Material Handler in California to support warehouse operations in a GMP environment. The role requires shipping, receiving, stocking, inventory control, and adherence to safety and quality standards.

You will lead material handling activities, coordinate with cross-functional teams, and ensure timely, accurate processing of materials and documentation in a fast-paced setting.

Responsibilities

• Shipping, receiving and stocking duties, including loading/unloading trucks, sorting, sizing for materials, stacking and loading pallets, product identification, damage inspection, shipment packaging, and data entry of related documents.
• Material transfer: stocking, kitting, issuing, internal delivery of materials and directing them to appropriate internal locations (staging/storage locations, production lines, plant locations).
• Manufacturing staging: dispense chemicals, perform calculations, conversions, weighing operations, and lifting up to 50 lbs.
• Hazardous and bio-hazardous waste handling in compliance with procedures and EH&S policy.
• Inventory control: maintain accurate inventory in main and satellite warehouses; conduct cycle counts and physical inventories; resolve discrepancies; maintain FIFO.
• Equipment maintenance: assist in maintenance of equipment and control monitors and ensure calibrations and maintenance per schedule.
• Housekeeping: maintain clean, organized, safe work areas compliant with GMP; keep logs of cleaning and sanitization up to date.
• Address complaints and resolve employee-related problems with management and HR collaboration.
• Makes decisions independently within a defined area.
