Job summary

Guardant Health in Redwood City, CA is seeking a Senior Material Handler to support warehouse operations—receiving, storing, moving, and shipping materials while maintaining precise inventory records and compliance with FDA/CLIA/ISO quality standards. This role follows a Tue–Sat schedule with 6 a.m.–5 p.m.

PT hours and requires ERP experience (Oracle preferred), forklift certification, and strong organizational and communication skills to collaborate with Manufacturing, Quality, and Supply Chain

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 6+ years warehouse/inventory experience preferred.
• ERP systems and inventory transactions; Oracle experience preferred.
• Experience supporting manufacturing work orders and inventory management preferred.
• Shipping/receiving experience in biotech/pharma or regulated manufacturing preferred.
• Experience in FDA/CLIA/ISO regulated environments preferred.
• Current forklift certification or ability to obtain.
• Valid driver's license with clean driving record.
• Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and Google Workspace.

Responsibilities

• Receive, inspect, label, and store incoming materials while resolving discrepancies.
• Perform ERP transactions for inventory management, manufacturing work orders, receiving, and inventory transfers.
• Maintain accurate inventory records via cycle counts, physical inventories, and reconciliations.
• Execute inventory transfers between warehouse locations with traceability.
• Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies through physical verification and system reconciliation.
• Support shipping and receiving activities, including freight coordination and compliance with transportation requirements.
• Safely operate forklifts, pallet jacks, hand trucks, and dock equipment.
• Maintain proper product identification, inventory rotation, and expiration date control.
• Support fulfillment by picking, packing, and transferring materials.
• Conduct transfers for chamber moves, freezer defrosts, equipment maintenance, and storage relocations.
• Daily inspections of freezers and warehouse equipment; report maintenance/safety concerns.
• Monitor storage capacity and optimize inventory organization.
• Support 5S/6S, Kanban, and continuous improvement initiatives.
