Job summary

Worthington Steel’s TWB unit is seeking a Material Handler/Forklift to move materials, load/unload machines, and prepare materials for production. The role requires forklift experience, the ability to lift 50 lbs, and a commitment to safety on a rotating 12-hour schedule.

Starting pay includes $19.24/hour plus a $1.00 shift differential and a $1,500 retention bonus, with benefits starting on Day 1 and opportunities for advancement.

Qualifications

• Forklift experience required.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to lift at least 50 lbs.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and frequently bend and stoop.
• Manufacturing experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Operate a forklift and/or crane to move material throughout the plant.
• Load and unload machines and move finished product.
• Package and prepare material for production or shipping.
• Monitor equipment and production.
• Inspect parts for quality.
• Complete required production paperwork.
• Assist with machine setups and production.
• Help maintain a safe, efficient work environment.

Schedule

12-hour shifts: 5 a.m. to 5 p.m. or 5 p.m. to 5 a.m.

• Rotating continental schedule
• 48 hours one week and 36 hours the next
• 2 days on, 2 days off, 3 days on, then rotates
