Job summary

TWB Company in Monroe, MI is seeking a Forklift Operator to move materials around the plant and load trucks using a forklift. The ideal candidate is a self-starter with a strong work ethic.

The role features a 12-hour Continental Schedule and pays $20.00 per hour with a $0.55 shift differential, plus retention bonuses up to $1,800. TWB is North America’s market leader for tailor welded products with locations across North America.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older.
• Able to bend, stoop and stand for long periods.
• Follow verbal and written instructions.
• Basic math skills required.
• Physically able to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Shift flexibility and reliability essential.

Responsibilities

• Move material around the plant using a forklift and/or crane.
• Perform miscellaneous tasks to ensure safe and efficient production.
• Observe machinery for proper operation and production of parts.
• Load/unload machines and pack product for forklift transport.
• Perform visual/manual inspections as needed.
• Complete required paperwork.
• Assist with setups and run production as needed.
• Other duties as assigned.

TWB is looking to add Forklift Operators to our team in Monroe, MI. This position is responsible for the transportation of product within the facility and loading trucks using a forklift. The ideal candidate is a self-starter who has a strong work ethic.

Responsibilities

• Moves material around plant using a forklift and/or crane for producing finishing, packaging, or shipping parts.
• Performs miscellaneous tasks throughout plant to ensure safe, efficient and quality production.
• Observes machine processing for proper functioning and production of parts.
• Loads and unloads their assigned machine and packs product for the forklift.
• Performs visual and/or manual inspection as needed.
• Completes required paperwork.
• Assists operator with set-ups and running production as needed.
• Other duties as assigned.

Desired Experience

• Must be a minimum of 18 years of age
• Ability to frequently bend and stoop
• Able to follow verbal and written instructions
• Basic math skills
• Able to communicate effectively
• Must be able to stand for extended period of time and exert moderate to heavy physical effort with a minimum lifting requirement of 50 pounds
• Must be willing to travel as needed via most efficient means
• Must be physically able to access all areas of the plant and grounds
• Must be available for work on any shift or shift rotation or work schedule as needed by the company
• Manufacturing experience a plus

12-hour shift (Continental Schedule) 48 hours, 36 hours

2-on, 2-off, 3-on, 2-off (rotating week to week)
