Ōnin Staffing seeks reliable Forklift Operators and Material Handlers to join a warehouse team. Operate cherry pickers, sit-down forklifts, and stand-up reach trucks to move, stage, and organize inventory with handheld RF scanners.

You’ll perform pre-shift safety checks, assist with order fulfillment, and maintain accurate records while meeting performance metrics in a dynamic warehouse environment.

Qualifications

• Experience operating forklifts safely in a warehouse setting.
• Familiar with RF scanners and basic inventory control.
• Ability to meet productivity metrics and safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Operate forklifts (Cherry Picker, Sit-Down, Stand-Up) to move, stage, and store inventory.
• Conduct pre-shift safety checks and report any issues.
• Assist with order fulfillment and packaging as needed.
• Maintain accurate inventory using handheld RF scanners.
• Keep work areas clean, organized and safe.

Job description

We are seeking reliable and safety-conscious Forklift Operators and Material Handlers to join our clients' warehouse team. These dynamic roles combine heavy equipment operation with essential floor tasks. You will be responsible for moving, staging, and organizing inventory using one of the following types of forklifts.

Forklift Types

• Cherry Pickers
• Sit-Down Forklifts (sometimes referred to as a counterbalance)

The roles can also consist of performing manual material handling duties to keep our client's distribution centers running smoothly.

Key Responsibilities

• Cherry Picker / Order Picker: Operate equipment at elevated heights to safely pick individual cases or pieces from high-level racking.
• Stand-Up Reach Truck: Navigate narrow aisles to store or retrieve pallets from upper racking systems, extending the mechanism to seat loads.
• Sit-Down Counterbalance: Load and unload inbound and outbound freight from trailers, containers, and flatbeds.
• Equipment Safety: Perform daily pre-shift OSHA maintenance and safety inspections on all designated machinery.
• Some clients have wire-guidance assisted forklifts that are utilized in narrow aisle ways.
• Inbound & Outbound: Unload, sort, stack, and stage incoming materials; prepare finished goods for shipment.
• Order Fulfillment: Manually pick, pack, kit, and label products according to order sheets or scanner instructions.
• Inventory Control: Use handheld RF scanners to track product movement and maintain accurate inventory records.
• Meeting metrics as given by supervisors and leads.
• Facility Upkeep: Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment by disposing of debris and sweeping aisles.
