Job summary

AdeptHR is seeking a detail-oriented Forklift Operator/Order Puller in Vacaville, CA to drive efficient material handling and accurate order fulfillment. You’ll operate reach trucks, forklifts, and pallet jacks to load, unload, and organize inventory in a fast-paced environment focused on safety and teamwork.

Responsibilities include using barcode scanning and WMS for precise picking, maintaining inventory accuracy, and supporting shipping/receiving with a strong emphasis on OSHA safety

Qualifications

• Experience operating warehouse equipment including reach trucks, forklifts and pallet jacks.
• Familiarity with barcode scanning and Warehouse Management System (WMS).
• Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and follow manual handling guidelines.
• Understanding of OSHA safety standards in production environments.
• Experience in inventory control and cycle counts is a plus, leadership experience is a plus but not required.

Responsibilities

• Operate reach trucks, clamps, forklifts, Hi-Lo lifts, and pallet jacks to load and unload shipments.
• Pick and prepare orders using barcode scanning systems and WMS to meet shipping deadlines.
• Perform manual handling tasks including heavy lifting according to safety standards.
• Maintain inventory accuracy through cycle counts and inventory management procedures.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations and warehouse safety protocols during all material handling activities.
• Assist with shipping and receiving by verifying incoming goods against purchase orders and preparing outgoing shipments.
• Perform basic equipment repairs or report maintenance needs promptly to minimize downtime.

Conduct manual handling tasks including heavy lifting and stacking materials in accordance with safety standards.

Maintain inventory accuracy through regular cycle counts and inventory management procedures.

Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations and warehouse safety protocols during all equipment operation and materials handling activities.

Assist with shipping and receiving processes by verifying incoming goods against purchase orders and preparing outgoing shipments.

Skills

Proven experience operating warehouse equipment such as reach trucks, forklift trucks, clamp trucks, Hi-Lo lifts, and pallet jacks.

Strong knowledge of warehouse management systems (WMS), barcode scanning for logistics, and inventory control procedures.

Familiarity with warehouse distribution operations including order picking, load & unload activities, shipping & receiving protocols.

Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while adhering to manual handling guidelines.

Understanding of forklift safety standards in production environments (OSHA compliance).

Experience in warehouse supervision or leading small teams is a plus but not required.

Basic math skills for inventory counting and measurement tasks.
