Job summary

Caterpillar is seeking a Materials Specialist for the 1st shift at East Peoria Building KK. You will check, store, disburse or fill orders for parts and materials in a safe environment, using scanners and terminals to verify accuracy.

Requirements include a high school diploma or equivalent, a valid driver’s license and forklift certification, and the ability to lift 35 pounds and work at heights. The role is supplemental with about 40 hours per week.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Valid Driver's License and forklift certification.
• Ability to lift/carry up to 35 pounds and work at heights.
• Warehouse and/or order filling experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and report daily receiving and shipping activities.
• Handle storage, disbursement, and order processing of parts and materials.
• Operate mobile equipment and use handheld scanners.
• Record keeping and clerical duties; update information in systems.
• Report defects and coordinate repairs.
