Job summary

Caterpillar is seeking a Materials Specialist for the 1st shift at East Peoria Building KK. You will check, store, disburse or fill orders for parts and materials in a safe environment, using scanners and terminals to verify accuracy.

Requirements include a high school diploma or equivalent, a valid driver’s license and forklift certification, and the ability to lift 35 pounds and work at heights. The role is supplemental with about 40 hours per week.

You will check, store, disburse or fill orders for parts, materials, tools, equipment and supplies in a safe environment.**What You Will Do (including but not limited to):*** Maintain and report daily receiving and shipping activities.* Safely perform the material handling and warehousing functions required in the receiving, processing, storing, moving, packing, and shipping of parts, materials equipment and supplies.* Performs related and/or specialized clerical duties and resolves discrepancies as required. Maintains related clerical records and operates computer terminal and/or hand held scanner to access and update information for receiving, counting and order processing.
