Job summary

Caterpillar Inc. in East Peoria, IL is seeking a Materials Specialist to check, receive and verify prime products. You will manage inventory, store and disburse parts and materials in a safe environment, contributing to efficient production.

The role involves lifting, using handheld scanners, and operating warehouse equipment. A 1st shift schedule is offered with competitive hourly pay and benefits.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Valid Driver's License and Forklift driver certification.
• Ability to frequently lift and carry boxes weighing up to 35 pounds for intervals of 15-30 minutes.
• Work at heights of up to 30 feet from the floor and endure varying temperatures.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and report daily receiving and shipping activities.
• Safely perform material handling and warehousing functions for receiving, processing, storing, moving, packing and shipping.
• Perform related clerical duties and update information using computer terminal and/or handheld scanner.
• Operate mobile equipment as required to facilitate job functions.
• Report defects and need for repairs.
