What You'll Do As a Material Handler

• Maintain product inventory by receiving, identifying, labeling, and storing products within the Shipping and receiving area until transfer to unprocessed warehousing; retrieve product from processed storage and prepare for shipment.
• Monitor equipment used for product movement; conduct minor repairs; refer major malfunctions or unsafe conditions to Supervisor; maintain a clean work area; perform Material Handling/Production functions as needed.
• Review receiving and shipping paperwork for accuracy; implement corrections; document product movement before and after processing.
• Process product according to specifications if qualified by training and certification.
• Maintain and improve technical skills through assigned training.
• Work safely, considering safety in all tasks.
• Uphold shared values of Customer Satisfaction and Continuous Improvement; ensure defect-free work, assist others, reduce waste, and meet customer needs with urgency.
• Support team efforts per company policies and perform other duties as assigned.

The Experience, Skills, And Abilities Needed

Required:

• Be clean-shaven for safety equipment.
• Lift up to 50 lbs.
• Effective reading, writing, and verbal communication in Spanish.

Preferred:

• Forklift certification.
• Experience operating yard trucks.
• Knowledge of 5S and LEAN principles.
• Ability to navigate computer screens.
• Good interpersonal skills.
• Normal hearing range for alarms and signals.
• Strong organizational, analytical, and basic math skills; attention to detail.
