Job summary

Magna in Liberty, Missouri, is seeking a Material Handling Team Leader to coordinate material flow, support Material Handlers, and ensure timely parts delivery to production lines. This hands-on leadership role emphasizes logistics operations, inventory accuracy, and coaching a frontline team.

The position requires a high school diploma or GED, forklift certification, and experience with barcode systems, tablets, scanners, and printers.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Train and support Material Handlers on equipment operation, work instructions, and material flow processes.
• Coordinate and monitor movement of materials to support production requirements.
• Maintain flow rack locations and material identification systems.
• Correct inventory and loading discrepancies in physical and system records.
• Support and maintain material delivery routes; identify improvements.
• Monitor Material Handler performance and provide coaching.
• Ensure production lines receive material on time to minimize downtime.
• Lead cycle counts and daily 5S and safety audits.
• Complete reports and collect data to support departmental objectives.
• Fill in for employees to support uninterrupted operations; communicate concerns to leadership.
