Job summary

Valmont Industries in Bellville, TX is seeking a shipping/receiving associate to unload, store and inventory material, and communicate potential issues with customers and truck drivers. You will coordinate special handling of material and support overall warehouse operations.

The role requires attention to detail, adherence to safety practices, and willingness to work overtime to meet business needs. Training in Lean, Gemba, and 5S is expected as part of continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

• Receiving, unloading and storing incoming product
• Identify materials and products being loaded/unloaded
• Label and sign paperwork correctly
• Store products in warehouse
• Conduct inventory counts
• Inspect material received
• Understand department and plant processes
• Perform safety audits
• Participate in Lean manufacturing, Gemba and 5S
• Read and use a tape measure accurately
• Work overtime as needed
• Maintain attention to detail in product and processes
• Uphold integrity and safety policies
• Perform other duties as directed by leadership
• Participate in departmental safety and training activities
