Valmont in the United States is seeking a Shipper A to load pipe and tubing per orders, operate a forklift and magnetic crane, and verify material identity by size, gauge, and quantity. The role requires standing most of the day and lifting tasks, with potential overtime during busy periods.

Qualifications

• Three (3) years shipping or loading experience
• Ability to read tape measures and micrometers
• Ability to stand 90% of time
• Able to work outside in extreme heat or cold
• Able to climb onto flatbed trailers 10' to 13'
• Able to operate forklift, overhead cranes, shag truck and banding tools
• Accurate logging of inventory transactions
• Overtime more than ten hours a week when required

Responsibilities

• Load pipe and tubing per shipping orders and pick sheet
• Process bills of lading and shipping orders
• Operate equipment including forklift, side loader, shag truck and magnetic crane
• Perform mag crane safety checks including rails, wheels, cables
• Report unsafe conditions to supervisor
• Maintain counts of pipe loaded/unloaded and record size/gauge
• Handle scrap and manage Alter scrap trailers
• Assist with cycle counts and material moves from staging to storage
