Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Ability to read and interpret work orders, shipping documents, technical instructions, and production paperwork.
• Basic math skills and ability to perform measurements and calculations related to production and shipping activities.
• Experience operating forklifts, overhead cranes, and other material handling equipment preferred.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, lift, push, pull, and handle materials throughout the shift.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work in industrial plant environments with moving equipment and varying temperatures.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload incoming and outgoing shipments using forklifts, overhead cranes, and other material handling equipment.
• Prepare customer orders for shipment including bundling, tagging, staging, packaging, and securing materials.
• Verify orders for accuracy and completeness before, during, and after loading activities.
• Assemble and package accessories such as clips, nuts, bolts, nosing, and structural components for shipment.
• Tag completed jobs, complete shipping documentation, and submit paperwork to supervision.
• Bundle and load trucks efficiently while maintaining production and quality standards.
• Receive incoming materials, inspect for accuracy, and place materials into inventory or designated storage locations.
• Maintain accurate production, shipping, and inventory records including bills of lading and packing lists.
