Job summary

Ohio Gratings, Inc. is seeking a dedicated Material Handler to receive, inspect, unload, and store materials in a fast-paced production environment. You will move materials using overhead cranes and forklifts, ensuring continuous supply to lines and workstations.

The role requires accuracy, safety awareness, and ability to work independently as well as with cross-functional teams. Training new hires and participating in cycle counts are included.

Qualifications

• Education: High School diploma or equivalent.
• Experience: 1+ year in material handling in steel/aluminum manufacturing preferred.
• Skills: Read metric and standard tape measures; operate tow motors and overhead cranes; use hand and power tools; communicate effectively; work independently and safely.

Responsibilities

• Material handling and moving materials with cranes and equipment.
• Receive, inspect, and store raw materials and finished goods.
• Load shipments and prepare orders with zero defects.
• Maintain organized, clean work areas and safety compliance.
• Interact with ERP for receiving transactions and inventory updates.
• Train new hires and assist with cycle counts.
