Material Handler / Shipping & Receiving Assistant

Location: South Phoenix
Schedule: Monday – Friday, 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM
Pay: $18.00 to $20.00/hour
Type: Temp-to-Hire

A leading manufacturer of sheet metal panel products in South Phoenix is seeking a reliable Material Handler / Shipping & Receiving Assistant to join their team! This temp-to-hire position offers long-term stability and excellent benefits upon permanent hire.

Key Responsibilities:
Shipping & Receiving

• Load and unload trucks while inspecting for damage
• Ensure accurate documentation: shippers, delivery receipts, and purchase orders
• Photograph all outbound loads
• Verify incoming materials and communicate any discrepancies or damages
• Tag and locate materials properly for production and shipping

Material Management

• Pull and package orders daily for shipment
• Maintain organized stock and staging areas
• Support production by relocating materials and restocking as needed
• Help maintain an orderly and clean yard and shop floor
• Assist with periodic inventory counts and material restacking

Qualifications:

• Previous experience in material handling, shipping, and receiving
• Comfortable lifting up to 50 lbs
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Experience with inventory and warehouse documentation
• Forklift experience is a plus
