Job summary

Hendrick Technical Solutions in Charlotte, NC seeks a Material Handler. You will load/unload pallets, move materials with forklift or pallet jack, and assist with inventory management in a Defense-sector oriented environment.

The role requires 2+ years in a warehouse, high school diploma, forklift certification or ability to obtain it, and strong attention to detail. Candidates must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and work listed shift.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Back-up support for other positions as needed

Material Handler

This role works Monday-Friday, 3:30pm-12:30am.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Load and unload pallets for shelf storage of products
• Manual shelf replenishment from backstock
• Assist with picking of required production materials
• Load/Unload trucks as needed
• Engage a forklift or pallet jack to move products as needed
• Assist with packaging of material for shipment
• Receive and distribution of inventory
• Cycle counting of inventory as needed
• Act as a back-up for other positions as needed during absences
• Additional responsibilities added as needed

The successful candidate will possess the following characteristics:

• Understanding of batch and serialized products a plus
• Understanding of BOMs a plus
• Ability to work without constant supervision
• Ability to self-direct Basic computer skills
• Flexibility and creative thinking
• Ability to stand, crouch, reach, and lift up to 50 pounds for 8+ hours a day
• Forklift certification or ability to become certified
• Ability to work a pallet jack

Skills and Qualifications:

• High school Diploma
• Automotive related background, a plus
• 2+ years of experience in a warehouse environment
• 1+ years of experience in traditional manufacturing, a plus
• Working knowledge of ERP systems required
• Demonstrated ability in identifying and implementing structure in otherwise flexible/fluid operations
• Highly organized with strong attention to detail
• Ability to persist and succeed with cross-functional communication within scope of responsibility
• Strong written and oral communication skills.
• Must have independent problem-solving skills and the discipline to follow-up and follow-through until problems are resolved
