We are currently seeking a Welder - Fabricator who is responsible for completing tasks as directed or per route card and standard work instructions. Capable of welding and fabricating parts with some guidance or assistance. Focus on safe, efficient, reliable work and operation of equipment to ensure the production of quality products and machining up time. The person filling this position must be adaptable to ever-changing business environments and departmental need changes.To learn more about what we are doing at Hendrick Technical Solutions please visit:**Essential Duties and Responsibilities** **include the following:*** Consistently and precisely weld steel and or aluminum components.* Utilize Tig or MIG welding* Assist with evaluation of parts disposition and prioritization of build schedule.* Maintain tools, gauges, and equipment in a clean, orderly, and safe manner.* Perform tests using micrometers, scales, squares, height gauge, calipers, measuring tape.* Track time spent on jobs.**Education/Experience:*** Requires knowledge of all basic tools and equipment, including band saw, drill press, sand blaster, rotex punch, cold saw, acetylene torch, and hydraulic punch.* Experience with Romer arm is a plus. Requires excellent MIG and TIG welding skills.**Certificates and Licenses:*** Valid Driver’s License* AWS D1.1 Structural Welding Code – Steel certification is preferred.* AWS D1.3 Structural Welding Code – Sheet Steel certification is preferred.**Computer Skills:*** Basic computer skills required to perform and record Romer arm measurements.**Physical Demands:*** Requires vision (near, distance, depth), sense of touch, and ability to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) – welding helmet, hand protection, safety glasses, and hearing protection.* Constantly stands, manually manipulates, reaches outward, lifts/ carries up to 20 pounds, and pushes/pulls up to 25 pounds.* Frequently walks, reaches above shoulder, lifts/carries up to 50 pounds, and pushes/pulls up to 40 pounds.* Occasionally sits, climbs, crawls, squats or kneels, bends, lifts/carries up to and over 100 pounds, and pushes/pulls up to 100 pounds.**Environment Demands:*** Works primarily indoors.Hendrick is an Equal Opportunity employer.
