Job summary

Specialty Building Products is seeking a seasonal warehouse associate in Maryland to safely operate forklifts, pick and pack orders, and support loading/unloading tasks. The role emphasizes accuracy, attention to detail, and timely completion of duties in a fast-paced distribution environment.

Responsibilities include maintaining a clean work area, assisting with inventory, and reading tickets and measurements.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent is required.
• Minimum of one year warehouse distribution experience.
• Prior lumber experience desired.
• Engineered Lumber experience is preferred.
• Forklift experience and forklift certification preferred but not required.
• Must have basic math and analytical skills.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate forklifts to load/unload, move, stage, pull orders and transport material.
• Maintain clean and organized warehouse area; ensure product is in correct location.
• Collaborate with Supervisors and other employees to complete workload.
• Provide accurate, timely service to customers with attention to detail.

THIS IS A SEASAONAL POSITION!

Responsibilities and Essential Functions:

• Safely operate forklifts in order to complete assigned tasks including loading and unloading, moving, staging, pulling orders and transporting material. Band, wrap, and tape product as needed.
• Maintains condition of Warehouse work area, e.g. free of trash, product in correct location and organized, swept floors.
• Work cooperatively and productively with Supervisors and other employees in order to complete required workload.
• Provide and inspire outstanding service to customers by maintaining attention to detail, accuracy, quality and completing assigned work in a timely manner.
• Assist with inventory variances, order accuracy and track and trace issues.
• Reading and understanding tickets and the various codes for products.
• Must be able to read a tape measure. Accurately pull daily orders.

Required credentials:

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum of one (1) year warehouse distribution experience.
• Prior lumber experience desired.
• Engineered Lumber experience is preferred.
• Forklift experience and forklift certification preferred but not required.
• Must have basic math and analytical skills.

Pay Rate $20.50/Hr. based on experience.
