Job summary

Specialty Building Products, including U.S. Lumber and Alexandria Moulding brands, is seeking a 2nd Shift Warehouse Associate in Winder, GA. You will load, unload, sort, stage and transport products within the warehouse, adhering to safety policies and procedures.

Requires at least 1 year of warehouse experience, basic math and computer literacy. Forklift experience and chainsaw operation are a plus; self-starter attitude and willingness to take initiative are valued.

Qualifications

  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum of one (1) year warehouse distribution experience.
  • Prior lumber experience desired; engineered lumber experience preferred.
  • Forklift experience and forklift certification preferred, but not required.
  • Must have basic math and analytical skills.
  • Must be computer literate: Word, Excel, Outlook.
  • Team Lead/Shift supervisor experience preferred.
  • Self-starter, pro-active and able to take initiative.

Responsibilities

  • Safely operate forklifts or other machinery (chainsaw) to complete tasks including loading/unloading, moving, staging, pulling orders and transporting material.
  • Band, wrap, and tape product as needed.
  • Maintain clean, organized warehouse area and ensure correct location for all items.
  • Work cooperatively with Supervisors and teammates to complete workload.
  • Provide outstanding service to customers with accuracy and timeliness.
  • Assist with inventory variances, order accuracy and trace issues.
  • Follow SBP safety policies and encourage others to do the same.

Job description

U.S. Lumber, an SBP Brand, is currently looking for a 2nd Shift Warehouse Associate to join our VALUES based organization to responsible, at various points, for loading, unloading, sorting, staging, transporting and otherwise handling products that come into and move out of the warehouse.
Individuals in this position must work cooperatively with other Associates and productively with little supervision. Individuals must follow SBP's safetypolicies and procedures at all times.

Responsibilities and Essential Function

Safely operate forklifts or other machinery (chainsaw) in order to completeassigned tasks including loading and unloading, moving, staging, pulling ordersand transporting material.

  • Band, wrap, and tape product as needed.
  • Maintains condition of Warehouse work area, e.g. free of trash, product in correctlocation and organized, swept floors.
  • Work cooperatively and productively with Supervisors and other employees inorder to complete required work load.
  • Provide and inspire outstanding service to customers by maintaining attention to
  • detail, accuracy, quality and completing assigned work in a timely manner.
  • Assist with inventory variances, order accuracy and track and trace issues.
  • Follow SBP safety policies and procedures and encourage others to do the same. This includes performing daily forklift safety checklists.
  • Reading and understanding tickets and the various codes for products
  • Must learn how to use a chainsaw and Holtec Industrial Saw
  • Must be able to read a tape measure.
  • Accurately pull daily orders.
  • Other duties as assigned by supervisors or management
Required credentials:
