Job summary

Orgill, Inc. is seeking a Warehouse Picker to support the distribution center by efficiently picking merchandise across all order filling zones and labeling cartons for easy identification and scanning.

Schedule: Monday - Friday 2 PM - 10 PM. Responsibilities include accurately picking and labeling merchandise, identifying units of measure, preparing orders for transport, and meeting quality and productivity standards. Strong attendance and teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Excellent attendance and reliability required.
• Good reading, writing and verbal communication in English.
• Ability to meet safety policies and work with all departments.

Responsibilities

• Accurately pick and label merchandise from primary pick locations.
• Identify units of measure and correct merchandise.
• Account for damaged merchandise and prepare orders for transport to customers.
• Maintain accuracy to meet quality and productivity standards.
• Take direction from Supervisor and adhere to housekeeping guidelines.

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES

• Must be able to accurately pick and label merchandise from primary pick locations.
• Must be able to accurately identify units of measure.
• Must be able to identify correct merchandise and account for damaged merchandise.
• Must be able to prepare orders for transport to customers.
• Must be able to meet quality and productivity standards.
• Ability to take direction from Supervisor.
• Excellent attendance and reliable predictability a must
• Adheres to DC housekeeping guidelines
• Performs all other tasks and duties as assigned.*

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

• Must be committed to a high standard of safety and be willing to comply with all safety policies and practices.
• Excellent attendance record
• Must be willing and able to work overtime when needed
• Good comprehension, organizational, and math skills
• Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
• Ability to interact effectively with other departments and all levels of management
• Ability to maintain records accurately and demonstrate problem solving skills
• Demonstrated ability to prioritize work and to meet deadlines
• Must be a team player with a can do attitude
• Must be able to read, write, and speak English
