Job summary

The Pittsburgh Paints Company is seeking a Material Handler for the 3rd shift (Sunday through Wednesday, 9 pm–7 am) with training on 1st shift for the first 6–8 weeks. This full-time role includes benefits and bi-weekly pay.

You will receive and move raw materials, operate forklifts, and maintain accurate inventory records using RF scanners and SAP. Must be 18+, have a HS diploma or GED, and be able to lift up to 50 lbs frequently and 80 lbs occasionally.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Prior material handling or forklift experience preferred.
  • Basic computer skills; ability to learn SAP and inventory systems.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs frequently and up to 80 lbs occasionally.
  • Ability to wear PPE and follow safety procedures.

Responsibilities

  • Receive incoming raw materials by unloading trailers and verify quantities, condition, and accuracy of shipments.
  • Unload bulk materials from tank wagons into designated storage tanks.
  • Operate forklifts and other PITs to move pallets, totes, drums, and materials.
  • Use inventory management systems to receive, move, and track raw material inventory.
  • Perform cycle counts and assist investigations to maintain inventory accuracy.
  • Stage materials in advance to support upcoming production needs.
  • Maintain accurate inventory and movement records using RF scanners and computer systems.
  • Keep work areas clean and organized and perform basic equipment inspections.

The Pittsburgh Paints Company is seeking a Material Handler responsible for receiving raw materials as they enter the facility, including transfers within the site.

Key Responsibilities
  • Receive incoming raw materials by unloading trailers and verifying quantities, condition, and accuracy of shipments
  • Unload bulk materials from tank wagons into designated storage tanks
  • Operate powered industrial trucks (PIT), including forklifts, to move pallets, totes, drums, and other materials
  • Use inventory management systems to receive, move, and track raw material inventory
  • Perform cycle counts and assist with investigations to maintain inventory accuracy
  • Stage materials in advance to support upcoming production needs
  • Maintain accurate inventory and movement records using RF scanners and computer systems
  • Keep work areas clean and organized and perform basic equipment inspections
Requirements
